We made it through January! Whether your year has been of to a fantastic or rocky start, I hope you find some happiness in these 3 things, just like I did.
1. Tower 28 SOS Daily Barrier Redness Recovery Moisturizer
I usually stick to oil and serums on my skin, but wow was my skin dry this winter! I have 3 must-haves when it comes to a facial moisturizer: First, it has to be non-comedogenic (non-pore clogging). Secondly, it should contain minimal toxic ingredients. Lastly, it needs to feel soothing, hydrating, and luxurious on my skin. This cream checks off all three of those requirements! 2. Chocolate Tahini Banana Bread by RachL Mansfield
I finally felt inspired to bake for fun and had to make this recipe again! I think the last time I made this banana bread was back in 2020 when we were all obsessed with making banana bread. There are thousands of banana bread recipes online but I like this one because of the higher protein and healthy fat content from the almond flour, tahini and flax seeds. These help to balance blood sugar. Plus, it’s delicious and perfectly sweet.
3. The Five Minute Journal
I have officially used my 5-Minute journal for over 2 months now and I love it. It really only does take a few minutes morning and night. As someone who struggles with a morning routine, it has been nice to start with something so easy to commit to. I’ve also noticed that I am taking the time to take note of more positive things throughout the day. I see gratitude as something I need to practice and I love the structure and ease of this journal.
